Snooker pair clinch second doubles title

DARREN Brame, from Maidstone, and his partner, Chatham’s Wayne Fuller, are the Kent doubles snooker champions for the second time in three years.

Brame and Fuller lost their first frame of the day to Michael Georgiou and Schoritzi Mazaphan of Rainham in the quarter-final, but remained unbeaten for the rest of the event, held at Frames Snooker club in Downham.

After recovering to win 3-1, Brame and Fuller then beat Margate duo Andy Crouch and Mark Cackett 3-0, before beating Paul Wildman and Ben Sewell of Bromley by the same scoreline in the final.
