Snowy fun - before the travel chaos

Snow may have caused travel chaos for those returning to work on Monday, January 4 but there were some people who were still able to have fun.

A light covering of snow fell in and around Maidstone on Sunday, January 3 creating wintery scenes in Wateringbury.

Kent Messenger photographer Matthew Walker, who was covering a Sunday League match between Wateringbury 2003 and Crosskeys, captured the efforts of players to warm up as the blizzard began falling.

Elsewhere, it was hard to tell where the snow ended and the geese began, as Kent Life’s animals got a dusting too.

Youngsters also managed to scrape enough snow to make snow balls at the attraction, in Lock Lane, Sandling.

Plenty of KM readers have been sending us their pictures. Pick up a copy of this Friday's edition to see some of them.
