Two serving soldiers will appear in court charged with assault and grievous bodily harm following an incident at a Maidstone nightclub.
James McDermott and Tom Gray are accused of attacking Christopher Davis and Jack Briden in the toilets of The Source in April.
It is alleged Gray, 22, of Maidstone Barracks, punched Mr Davis in the back of the head twice before kicking him on the floor.
McDermott, 22, of the same address, is also accused of kicking him during the incident at the Rose Yard venue.
The victim was left with a cut to the back of his head which needed to be glued.
Mr Briden needed surgery after trying to intervene and being punched in the face three times, leaving him with a broken nose. He also had a torn rotator cuff.
The pair did not enter a plea at Maidstone Magistrates’ Court on Monday and were released on conditional bail not to contact either of the victims.
They must attend a preliminary hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on Friday, August 7.
