Specsavers, in Tunbridge Wells, will raise funds for the KM Group's Get Kent Reading initiative, with a day of activities on Saturday.

The national chain’s branch in Mount Pleasant Road, which will be decorated in purple for the event, has planned a story writing competition, a raffle and a game to guess how many contact lenses are in a jar.
Complimentary tea and coffee will be served between 10am and noon.
Graham Smith, director of the store, said: ‘Given the clear link between eye health and reading, we are delighted to be supporting this charity and are looking forward to a good turn-out on the day. We would like to thank our customers for their donations.”
