Tonbridge Angels moved into the top half of Blue Square Bet South on Saturday with an impressive 4-1 win at Staines Town.
The visitors received a let-off when Staines missed a penalty midway through the first half. Henry Muggeridge tripped David Wheeler, but Louie Theophanous had his spot-kick saved by Lee Worgan.
Five minutes after the restart, Tom Davis put the Angels in front with a 35-yard drive.
Frannie Collin, pictured, then made it 2-0 from the penalty spot after Staines goalkeeper Jack Turner had brought down George Purcell.
Moments later, Collin dispossessed Patrick Kanyuka inside his own half and lobbed Turner from fully 40 yards for his eighth league goal of the season.
The home side’s misery was compounded when Kanyuka was sent off for lashing out at Muggeridge.
Lee Browning converted Purcell’s pass seven minutes from time to put Angels four goals up.
A late Theophanous strike denied Worgan and his defence a clean sheet, but Tonbridge are up to 11th after winning back-to-back league games for the first time this season.
