Chris Bassano-Harper continued in prolific form with a hat-trick but couldn't prevent Maidstone starting the New Year with a 5-4 home defeat by third placed Spencer in the Kent/Sussex 1st Xl Premier League Division 1 on Saturday

The former Canterbury forward took his league tally for the season to 20, with Steve Waldrom getting the other, his 14th of the season.

However the South West London visitors held on to inflict Maidstone's seventh loss of the season, which leaves them eighth in the table.
