A depressed young student who died after taking a high dose of cocaine was found with the words ‘take my organs’ written on her wrist.

Former Invicta Girls Grammar pupil Shruti Baral was discovered on the floor of her Maidstone bedroom by her 17-year-old brother.

The 22-year-old geography undergraduate was described as a bright young student who was not in the habit of taking drugs.

She suffered from depression, despite her happy exterior, an inquest heard.

Shortly before she was found dead on February 17 at her family home in Emsworth Grove, Vinters Park, where she lived with her mother and brother, Shruti left a message on her Facebook site.

It contained a photo of herself and message asking people if they would remember her if she died.

She had sought help from her university’s psychological services unit in London.

Analysis of the cocaine found in her room was put at 69% purity.

A post mortem carried out at Medway Maritime Hospital also found her blood stream contained a small amount of alcohol.
