Mote Park was bathed in sunshine for another glorious day of festival fun.

Day two of Radio 1's Big Weekend kicked off in style with red-headed songstress Adele belting out a few tunes in the main tent.

At the same time, there was an unexpected appearance by Wing, the Oriental singer championed by DJ Scott Mills, who entertaining a small but enthusiastic crowd at the Introducing stage.

The tiny singer looked slightly bemused by her reception from Maidstone, especially when the crowd launched into an impromptu chorus of 'Get The Wing Out For The Lads'.

Among the thousands of revellers enjoying the music is Sarah Kingsnorth from Sittingbourne, who said: "I am really looking forward to seeing the Pigeon Detectives and Goldfrapp. The weather is really great we couldn't wish for anything better.

"It's excellent to have something like this on your dorostep and see all your friends. Normally when you go to festivals you don't see anyone you know so this is great."

The line-up for Sunday was every bit as exciting as Saturday, and highlights included include The Raconteurs, Goldfrapp, The Zutons, Zane Lowe, and headlining the main stage, The Kooks.
