Maidstone suspect charged with attempted murder after man stabbed in Fairmeadow

A suspect has been charged with attempted murder following a violent assault in a town centre.

Police were called shortly before 3am on Sunday, to a disturbance at a property in Fairmeadow, Maidstone.

Officers attended alongside South East Coast Ambulance Service, and a man was taken to hospital with stab wounds.

He remains there in a serious but stable condition.

Three people were arrested and an investigation is ongoing.

Haidon Tomlin, 18, of Fairmeadow, was later charged with attempted murder and remanded to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court today (Tuesday).

A 37-year-old man who was also arrested has been released on bail, pending further enquiries, and a 20-year-old woman was released with no further action.
