Two suspected illegal immigrants have been detained after being found wandering on the M20 today.

Police were called to reports of the pair on the London-bound carriageway this morning.

The two, thought to be illegal immigrants, were held by officers who were called at just before 8am.

They were picked up between J6 for Maidstone and J5 for Aylesford.

They have been handed over to immigration officials in Dover.
