Tonbridge Angels made it three wins in a row in Blue Square Bet South with a 1-0 victory at high-flying Sutton United on Tuesday night.
Tommy Warrilow's side stole the points courtesy of Frannie Collin's goal 14 minutes from time - his league-leading 16th of the season and third in the past two games after returning from injury.
Kayne McLaggon saw an early shot charged down and Collin (pictured) curled a free-kick straight at Kevin Scriven in the Sutton goal before Ade Olorunda struck the woodwork with a cheeky backheel.
Ade Olorunda headed a good chance over as Angels took control but United hit back with Lee Worgan forced into tipping a Harry Beautyman shot over the bar.
After the break an attempted clearance from Sonny Miles 20 yards from goal was sliced against his own crossbar with Worgan stranded and Sam Page then hit the post with a header for the home side before being denied by Worgan.
Scriven denied Collin at the other end but it was a rare foray forward for Angels in the opening 20 minutes of the second half and Worgan denied former Angel Chris Piper on the volley with 20 minutes remaining.
However Collin stole the show, and the points with a fine solo goal, stealing possession in the Sutton half and jinking past two players before unleashing an unstoppable drive high past Scriven.
It was Sutton's first league defeat since August and their first at home since the opening day of the season and took Angels up to seventh in the table, just one point behind fifth-placed Chelmsford City, who occupy the final play-off place, however Tonbridge have played two more games.
