A sweet treat has come to Maidstone, so get your taste buds ready.
The Kentish Chocolate Company makes delicate handmade chocolates which are presented in selection boxes of different colours and themes.
The company has been running since Christmas and chocolatier Graham Hogan is looking for places to sell them.
Graham, 40, from Coxheath, has been making chocolates for around 10 years and enjoys the whole process.
He said: " I spend around 10 hours each day making the chocolates. It’s a long joy."
He modestly added that it is not complicated and said, ‘you just roll the gnash filling into a ball and dip it in melted chocolate.’
He then lets it set and decorates the top by either drizzling additional melted chocolate, covering them in chocolate powder or sprinkling on toppings.
His wife enjoys tasting the chocolates as well as Graham’s three-year-old daughter who ‘would eat them all day if she could’.
Chocolates come in different theme boxes; a Wedding Favour box allows you to hand pick chocolates, or request a flavour.
A standard selection box includes the flavours champagne in white chocolate, coffee in milk chocolate, coconut in dark chocolate, caramel in milk chocolate, kirsch in dark chocolate and orange in milk chocolate.
Graham started his business - under a different name- in Scotland, then moved to the Shetland Islands where he sold chocolates to various shops and the National Trust.
Shortly afterwards, Graham moved his business to the South of France for two years, before moving back to Kent, where he was brought up.
