Officers have arrested a teenager and seized a lock knife just metres away from a police station.
The 19-year-old from the town was detained on suspicion of being involved in supplying controlled drugs and possessing a weapon.
He was held in Palace Avenue at 11.45am yesterday where officers also seized a lock knife.
The man has since been bailed to return to the police station on Tuesday, December 12.
The arrest was made as part of Operation Raptor, a countywide initiative aimed at preventing and disrupting violent crime and the supply of class A drugs.
