A teenage boy was taken to hospital after a suspected shooting on Monday evening.

The 15-year-old boy suffered head injuries after the incident at 8.30pm in Speldhurst. It is believed he shot himself.

Police were called initially to the scene after reports of concern for the welfare of the boy.

He was taken to hospital in Brighton after suffering the injuries and is now in a stable condition in a hospital in London.

Police say they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
