The Feeling's performance at Radio 1's Big Weekend will be a "family affair" for the band.

The band members come from London and Sussex and expect to see some familiar faces in the crowd at Mote Park on Saturday.

Bassist Richard Jones said: "We always enjoy playing in the south as all the gigs we do feel like family affairs with lots of cousins and relatives turning up.

"The Radio 1 Big Weekend should be great - especially playing on the same stage as Madonna, she's a modern icon.

"I've played so many gigs in my life but when they go well, nothing beats the adrenaline rush that you get, so we are looking forward to Kent."
