Rising star James Evans capped a stunning season by earning a call-up to represent England in the Home Internationals in Edinburgh.
The Mote Squash Club player’s international recognition is the highlight of a memorable few weeks for the youngster, during which time he finished a creditable fifth at the English National Junior Championships and led Kent to victory in the National Under-15 Inter-County Championship.
The Oakwood Park Grammar School pupil remained unbeaten to help Kent overcome Derbyshire and Yorkshire on the way to the title and now 14-year-old Evans (pictured) - and county team-mate Ryan Duke - will look to make it a double success when they turn out at the same competition at under-17 level.
