Everyone from Darth Vader to Mr Incredible seemed to be out running in Maidstone this morning.

Hundreds joined a special Park Run, leaving from Lock Lane in Sandling, with many in fancy dress to mark the event’s third anniversary.

The first run, around Mote Park back in 2013, attracted 108 runners.

Since then numbers have grown with between 300 and 400 men, women and children setting off every weekend.

An estimated 450 joined for today’s 5km course, despite some unaccommodating weather.
