This is the young father stabbed to death last night.
Jamie Simmons, 29, died following a "disturbance" at a flat in Truro House, on Maidstone's Shepway estate.
Police and paramedics were called to the scene at around 9.15pm.
Two men, who were both known to the victim, were arrested soon afterwards.
A woman has also been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody.
A cordon was in place around Truro House, a block of flats behind Shepway shops which is just yards from the building in which a man was shot dead last March.
Nearby Exeter House and Wells House were also taped off.
Medics and the crew of the air ambulance desperately tried to save former Oldborough Manor pupil Mr Simmons, who had just celebrated his birthday, but his injuries were too severe.
Friends paid tribute to him this morning.
One said: "Had so many good laughs with you at work man I’m in so much shock."
Another posted: "What a cruel world we live in. You will never be forgotten RIP Jamie Simmons."
Melvin Jennings, who owns Jennings Surfacing, told KentOnline Mr Simmons had been an employee of his.
"He worked for me for around two years and was a good worker. I am very shocked at the news."
Footage from the scene
Shepway resident Susan Nash, who lives close to where the incident occurred, said: "I've lived here for four years. I thought it was quite a pleasant area but this is very scary. There were police everywhere last night, and then I saw the air ambulance come down."
