More than 11,000 people descended on Maidstone for a cultural celebration.

The Maidstone Mela, held in Mote Park over the weekend is now in its 9th year and features music and food from around the globe.

Fun got underway early, with a parade of 300 school children through Maidstone on Friday, before heading to Mote Park, where bhangra sounds and music from the Counterfeit Beatles featured on the line-up.
