Thieves have stolen thousands of sweets destined to be sold in aid of a Kent charity for the second time in a week.

On Thursday, November 5, thieves broke into Aaron Sellens’ garage in Seagull Road, Strood and stole around 4,000 bags of mixed sweets.

The sweets were destined to be bagged up and sold in special display boxes, with the majority of profits, around £5,000, would have gone to the Kent Air Ambulance.

But, and on a Thursday again, Mr Sellens, 23, whose business is called Buzzboxuk became the victim became the victim of a second burglary.

He discovered another haul of sweets, worth around £4,000 to the air ambulance had been taken on Friday morning.

Mr Sellens, of Chalky Road, Stockbury, said: "It is sick. It is just devastating and I am gutted.

"This time they went for sweets which were all in bags, so whoever did this knows they were due to be sold for the Kent Air Ambulance.

"This feels really personal now and I have just had it. I’ll take the stock home and bag up the sweets from there if I have to.

"I am willing to offer a reward of up to £1,000 if someone can provide information to police leading to a successful conviction. I can’t really afford that, but I can’t afford to keep losing thousands in stock.

Last week, after the first theft, a spokesman for the Kent Air Ambulance said they were "appalled" by the theft.
