Tonbridge Angels boss Tommy Warrilow is urging his players not to let the chance of reaching the play-offs pass them by.

Warrilow (pictured) has been mightily impressed by his players’ Ryman League Premier Division efforts this season, with the club occupying a spot in or around the play-offs for the majority of the campaign. And they have an opportunity to boost their promotion hopes at third-placed Lowestoft on Saturday.

Angels improved their chances with a 2-0 victory against Wealdstone last Saturday, and, after play-off heartache two seasons ago, Warrilow has challenged his side to go unbeaten for the remainder of the campaign.

He said: "Lowestoft is a massive game, but so are the next few against Tooting and Horsham and so on, so I’m not going to build it up any more than any other game.

"I’ve told the boys that a football career can fly by so fast that it is important not to take these opportunities to reach the play-offs for granted.

"As far as I’m concerned, the title is not out of reach yet
and I think we can still secure 83 points and that is the target. We have a mini season with seven games to go, and if we can win them all that would be great.

"If we try and target the title then hopefully it will allow us to pull away from the other teams chasing the play-offs."

Defender Danny Walder and midfielder Lewis Taylor should return at Lowestoft after serving their suspensions.
