Budding young actors staged their own production of Oliver to celebrate the end of a four-day drama workshop.
The group, who had been taking part in Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council’s summer activate scheme, presented the show to an audience, including the Deputy Mayor of the borough Cllr Mrs Sasha Luck, on Friday, August 23.
Over the four-day workshop the children learned about presenting to camera with an auto-cue, costume design and alterations, professional make-up application, choreography, acting on stage, technical sound and lighting design.
Once their lessons were complete they took to the stage at Hayesbrook School in Brook Street, Tonbridge, to show off their new skills.
Deputy Mayor of Tonbridge and Malling, Cllr Mrs Sasha Luck said: “The children certainly put the new skills they’d learned to good use and obviously thoroughly enjoyed themselves in the process. The show was fantastic, I was very impressed by all their performances.”
The Summer Activate programme ran from Monday, July 29 to Friday, August 23 and is for young people aged eight to 16 years.
Activities included archery, windsurfing, kayaking, skateboard design, special effects and character make-up, jewellery making, golf, dodgeball, drama and cookery.
