Frannie Collin scored twice as Tonbridge Angels bounced back from conceding 11 goals in their previous two home games with victory over Salisbury at Longmead in Blue Square Bet South on Saturday.
The visitors failed to capitalise on a couple of early opportunities and Angels made them pay when Lewis Taylor's cross was handled in the box allowing Collin (pictured) to send Conor Gough the wrong way from the spot on 26 minutes - his third successful penalty of the season.
The visitors responded with two blocked shots but it was Tonbridge who extended their lead on 36 minutes when Collin spun and unleashed a superb drive from outside the box which flew past Gough and into the net for his ninth goal of the new season.
Collin almost turned provider for a third, but Ade Olorunda couldn't reach his cross before the break.
The visitors barely tested Lee Worgan with a couple of tame efforts after the break while Sonny Miles saw a header saved at the other end and Olorunda lobbed wide of Gough's goal.
Gough denied Olorunda from the edge of the box with his legs after a defensive slip while Collin spurned the chance of a hat-trick, dragging wide when clean through.
Chris Giles set-up a tense finale with a Salisbury goal nine minutes from time, driving past Worgan from the edge of the box after Angels failed to clear a corner.
Collin was forced off in the closing stages with a knock but the Angels found a valuable third goal when Lee Browning jinked through the area before thumping past Gough in the last-minute.
