Frannie Collin grabbed four goals as Tonbridge ran riot against nine-man Eastbourne Borough.
The hosts had already raced into an early two goal lead before former Angels striker Carl Rook saw red for a late challenge on keeper Lee Worgan.
Collin’s name was on the scoresheet as early as 15 seconds when he latched on to Ade Olorunda's assist.
Chris Piper made it 2-0 after 11 minutes, Olorunda again playing his part in the build-up with Nathan Koranteng.
Eastbourne clawed their way back into things thanks to Matt Crabb’s 23 minute finish from a Rook flick-on.
But, Rook was to get his marching orders before the break and effectively end the visitors’ hopes of taking anything from the game.
Rook was flagged offside, but continued to race through on goal, straight into a late challenge on the onrushing Worgan.
Collin (pictured above) picked up his second goal straight after the restart when Joe Benjamin slotted into his path for 3-1.
Things then went from bad to worse for the visitors when keeper Clark Masters became the second Borough player to see red. His late challenge inside the area on Sonny Miles allowed Collin to complete his hat-trick from the penalty spot on 66 minutes.
Ten minutes later, scored his fourth and Tonbridge’s fifth, flicking in Danny Walder’s shot past substitute keeper Matt Smart.
