Tonbridge Angels manager Tommy Warrilow is looking forward to the prospect of playing eight games in March after a distinct lack of football in 2012 so far.
Tonbridge have only played six times since the turn of the year, and start a busy month at home to Blue Square Bet South promotion hopefuls Dartford on Saturday – the third meeting between the two sides this season.
Darts won 3-1 at Princes Park in September and followed up with a 4-2 Kent Senior Cup quarter-final victory at Longmead last month, but manager Warrilow (pictured) is backing his players to do well against their county rivals, who are sure to attract a big crowd.
He said: "Dartford are having a fantastic season, but I have no qualms about my boys going out and competing against sides like them.
"I think we might reap the benefit of playing so few games, and I have been pleased with the way the boys have been playing in the games we have played, getting at teams and being more of a threat."
Frannie Collin scored his 23rd league goal of the season in stoppage-time to earn Angels a 1-1 home draw against Boreham Wood on Monday. Collin started on the bench following a sickness bug which ruled him out of the 3-2 defeat at Farnborough two days earlier.
Warrilow said: "Frannie lost half a stone, and came on for the last half-hour as I didn’t want to risk him from the start."
Meanwhile, Tonbridge’s Ade Olorunda is due to undergo a cartilage operation in two weeks’ time.
