Peter Hawkins has become the latest player to arrive at Longmead as Tommy Warrilow continues to reshape his Tonbridge side.
The 31-year-old defender, pictured, was captain of Maidstone last season and arrives with plenty of experience having previously played for Wimbledon, Rushden, York and Ebbsfleet.
Warrilow said: "He’ll add the experience that we probably lacked last year and it will be nice to have a calm head on the field.
"I’m glad he’s down at the Angels and his experience is going to be massive for the likes of Liam Harwood and Sonny Miles."
Warrilow is working to the same financial constraints as last season but has room in the budget for another unnamed player who could arrive soon.
"We can bring one more in, he’s already budgeted and then if we bring someone else in there will have to be someone that goes out," he said.
Also arriving this week was former Chatham Town manager Alex O’Brien, who takes over as player/assistant-manager. The 33-year-old replaces Cliff Cant, who stood down due to work commitments.
