Tonbridge Angels manager Tommy Warrilow believes keeper Lee Worgan was back to his best in the 2-2 Blue Square Bet South draw at Bromley on Boxing Day.
The 28-year-old, pictured, pulled off some outstanding saves according to Warrilow, who said: "He has not been poor but just not himself.
"He has been busy at work and has looked a little bit tired, but his second-half display was what was I expect from him.
"He is a fantastic keeper and should be playing higher than this. I felt he could have done better for Bromley’s first. We had a chat and he’s gone out and pulled off five or six fantastic saves and was outstanding in the second half."
Worgan will look to repeat his good work when the sides meet again at Longmead on New Year’s Day, where three former Angels – Rory Hill, Leon Harwood and Lewis Taylor – are set to return for Bromley.
Warrilow added: "It will be another hard game between two sides fighting for points. I still say we should have more points on the board than we have but we are six off the play-offs and still not happy."
Warrilow is also still looking to boost his squad options with another signing.
He said: "I am hoping something will happen and it’s not been for a lack of trying. I don’t think we need massive surgery, perhaps two or three new faces, but we need to bring in the right players."
