Tonbridge Angels boss Tommy Warrilow hopes that new striker Meschach Nugent will be fit to face Ryman League Premier Division play-off contenders Kingstonian at Longmead on Saturday.

New signing Nugent was forced off with mild concussion on his debut in the 2-1 win at Carshalton after joining the club last week from Maidstone following a loan spell at Ryman League Division 1 North VCD.

Warrilow said: "He got a whack in the face after about 20 minutes but said he was all right at half-time. I had a chat with the physio and gave him five or 10 minutes before taking him off."

Another striker Adam Burchell has also joined on a short-term loan from Dartford and made his first start from the bench. He will be available for the next four games, before he is due to start a suspension after being sent-off in a reserve team game.

Warrilow said: "I have been trying to get Meshach for a couple of weeks but things were held up at his end. I think we have lost a bit of physical presence when Carl Rook left and he was always a pain when he played against us for Maidstone.

"Clubs higher than us and two others in our league were interested but I sold the club to him and want him to play as much football as he can."

Warrilow was pleased with the win at Carshalton with goals by Paul Booth and his other new recruit Jerahl Hughes.
