Tonbridge Angels manager Tommy Warrilow says his side can’t rely on anyone else to help them in their quest for Blue Square Bet South safety.

Warrilow (pictured) is confident Tonbridge can stay up, despite losing 2-1 at play-off hopefuls Chelmsford on Monday night.

He said: "We deserved at least a point on Monday but we didn’t put our opportunites away. That’s been the story of our season."

The defeat leaves Tonbridge in 18th position, just three points above the drop zone.

Tonbridge beat Staines last Saturday, thanks to a Frannie Collin winner and Warrilow is hoping for a similar outcome when his side travel to Eastleigh this weekend.

He said: "We beat them when they came here not so long ago but they are going well in fifth. I picked them out as play-off contenders at the beginning of the season and they have a fantastic squad."

Other results have gone in Tonbridge’s favour and Warrilow said that one more win might be enough to secure their Blue Square Bet South status.

But the Tonbridge boss warned: "I’ve never relied on anyone else in my life and I want to make sure we get the points on the board, not that other results go our way."
