Tommy Warrilow says Tonbridge Angels can be masters of their own destiny as they battle to stay in Blue Square Bet South.

The Longmead side slipped into the bottom three on goal difference after a 3-2 defeat against Hayes & Yeading at Woking on Sunday, throwing away a two-goal lead in the process.

Angels have five games left – three at home and two away – beginning with Staines at home on Saturday, followed by a trip to Chelmsford on Monday.

Warrilow (pictured) said: "It is still down to us but we are making it difficult for ourselves.

"My message to the fans is ‘For the next two weeks forget who’s to blame, just get behind the team and see us over the line’.

"I didn’t say much after the game but had words with the boys at training on Tuesday. What was said though will stay in house.

"I am gutted where we are but the buck stops with me. The season seems to have passed us by because we haven’t performed.

"I still think we are good enough to survive, it has been the inconsistency which has cost us. We have all got to man-up and stick together."
