Tonbridge Angels manager Tommy Warrilow plans to give all of his squad some playing time in their pre-season opener at home to Brentford on Saturday.

Warrilow, pictured, said: "I am going to field the strongest side I can and will be looking to give all the boys about 60 minutes or so.

"We won’t be as fit as Brentford as we’ve only been back for a fortnight, although one of the good things about non-league players nowadays is that they keep themselves fit during the close season."

Warrilow will be without goalkeeper Lee Worgan because he is away on holiday, while defender Danny Walder is ruled out by a back injury.

The Angels boss said: "It’s a bit annoying because Danny had the same problem in pre-season last year but we think we know what the problem is now and, with the right treatment, he should be okay for the start of the season."

Tonbridge play Gillingham at Longmead Stadium on Thursday and Warrilow added: "It’s great for the club to get teams like Brentford and the Gills coming down here in pre-season."

Meanwhile, right-back Matt Hollyoak and midfielder Luke Blewden, who were both on the fringes of Angels’ first-team squad last season, have joined Folkestone Invicta.
