Tonbridge boss Tommy Warrilow says his players, who are due to take on Folkestone at Longmead on Monday afternoon, cannot wait to be playing again.

Angels have been out of action since the draw with Kingstonian on November 27 but Warrilow is hopeful they can return to normality with a training session this weekend ahead of the Ryman League Premier Division game on Monday.

He said: "I am praying it warms up a bit and we can get the game on.

"It’s been such a long time since we’ve been out there. I thought we had a chance last week (at Hastings) but it wasn’t to be.

"I expect I’m going to have to calm the players down when they eventually do get back out there. After such a long break, they are going to be like caged animals.

"They can’t wait to get out there and play. They’ve been doing nothing but running for a month."

Warrilow (pictured) admitted the table had been kind to them during their period of inactivity, adding: "If we can win our games in hand, we will not be far away at all."

Midfielder Scott Kinch will miss the match due to a one-game suspension.
