Scott Kinch rejoined Tonbridge Angels this week but boss Tommy Warrilow is unlikely to rush him back for the Ryman League, Premier Division game against Sutton at Gander Green Lane on Saturday.

Angels were finalising the 27-year old midfielder’s move from Essex club Concord Rangers, having left Longmead to join Cray Wanderers last season.

Warrilow, pictured, said: "Hopefully the paperwork will be done by the weekend but Scott hasn’t played for a while so probably won’t be involved."

Kinch played in Tuesday night’s 3-1 friendly win at Lordswood while Warrilow used five senior players and fielded seven more first-teamers in the reserves’ 5-0 win at Whyteleafe in the Suburban League on Wednesday night.

Kirk Watts and Lee Minshull, who start two-match bans this weekend, both featured against Lordswood, together with Carl Rook and Marc Cumberbatch, while defender Tom Bryant returned from a long lay-off after illness, suspension and a lack of matches.

Saturday’s game will be the third time Angels have faced Sutton this season.

They lost 2-1 at home in the league in September before winning 2-0 away in the FA Trophy a month later. Winger Steve Ferguson scored in both games, but left last week to join Conference South side Bromley.

Warrilow said: "We are trying to sustain a reasonable budget and at the moment we need games to bring in revenue."
