Tommy Warrilow admitted Tonbridge Angels’ fight for a play-off spot was not good for the nerves but is confident his side can clinch a place.

Angels lost ground on their promotion rivals in the Ryman League, Premier Division after a disappointing 0-0 draw at home to Margate on Monday but the point took their unbeaten run into double figures.

"We’ve just got to keep concentrating on what we’re doing," the Tonbridge boss said.

"We’re 10 games unbeaten and if we keep that run going, we’ll be in with a shout. I want to make sure our fans have something to turn up and cheer for. It’s not good for the nerves but we need to show our strength of character and focus."

Warrilow (pictured) takes his side to Horsham on Saturday, looking to put the performance against Margate behind them.

He said: "We got though the first half in difficult conditions and I thought we’d come out after the break and have a good go at them but it never happened.

"We were poor and it felt like a loss."

Warrilow will be without Lee Minshull for the trip to Horsham, while Meshach Nugent may also miss out through injury.
