Maidstone United twice surrendered the lead on the road at Tooting & Mitcham to draw 2-2.

Lloyd Hume's side took a first half lead with the aid of an own goal on 33 minutes after Shannon O'Donovan's original effort hit a post and then rebounded off the keeper's back and into the net. The lead was short lived though, with Simon Parker getting the home level on 40 minutes following good work by Jamie Byatt to beat Jay Saunders inside the area.

But, just before the break Danny Hockton put Maidstone back in front, as he got an outstretched leg on the end of James Pinnock's smart cross three minutes later.

Sadly, Stones couldn't extend their advantage after the interval and were caught out by a route-one goal. Sam Clayton was the first to get his head on the end of a bouncing ball as he nipped in front of the on-rushing Jamie Turner on 64 minutes.

Jermaine Darlington helped carve out the visitors best chance to steal the points with eight minutes to go, but Hockton's header could only find the thankful arms of the home keeper.

A serious injury to Lewis Hamilton compounded the misery for Tonbridge Angels, who lost 1-0 at home to Billericay.

Hamilton was taken by ambulance to Tunbridge Wells hospital after a freak incident saw him trap his right foot between railings and advertising boards around the Longmead touchline.

Lee Kersey scored the only goal of the game for the visitors on 58 minutes with a right foot from just outside the box, which curled into the top corner.

In a game of few chances, Kirk Watts hit the bar early on for Tonbridge and with only two minutes remaining Karl Rook saw his effort tipped round the post by Billericay keeper Andy Walker.
