A town centre restaurant has been re-possessed after reportedly falling behind with its rent.
Fogo Chophouse, which occupied the front unit of Lockmeadow Entertainment Centre in Barker Road, closed suddenly last month.
A notice in the window of the vacant eatery explains the landowner has taken possession of it, something it has a right to do under the lease, because rents were not paid within 21 days of being due.
There is also a notice with an inventory of items still at the site, and a deadline to collect them before they are removed.
A spokesman for Lockmeadow refused to comment.
Fogo Chophouse, which opened at the entertainment centre in 2014, served a range of cuisines including Indian, Chinese, Mexican and Italian. It offered all-you-can-eat buffet lunches and barbecues with food cooked and served at the table.
It received mixed comments on review website Trip Advisor, with several customers commenting on how empty the restaurant was and saying it was sometimes closed during its advertised opening hours.
According to Companies House, parent firm Aryan Foods Limited was dissolved in April. The restaurant’s website has also been taken down.
