Maidstone came together this morning to pay its respects to those who lost their lives in conflict.
The town fell silent for two minutes at 11am, during a Service of Remembrance at the war memorial.
There dignitaries including Maidstone and the Weald MP Helen Grant lay wreaths to honour the fallen.
The service was preceded by the annual Remembrance Sunday parade, with serving soldiers, veterans and scout groups among those marching from Week Street, past the Town Hall and across the bridge to the memorial on The Broadway.
Hundreds took part in the ceremony, which led to rolling road closures until 12.30pm.
Meanwhile, in Bearsted a dozen residents gathered to pay their respects to a resident who died in The Somme, 100 years ago today.
Horace Chapman of the Royal Lancaster Regiment was killed in service aged 23.
Villagers listened to a reading before placing a wreath on the pump in Roundwell.
Bearsted is honouring its war dead one by one, with the next service in Ware Street at 12pm on Friday to mark 100 years since George Henry Cooper died.
