Two people were taken to hospital following a rush hour crash in Larkfield this morning.

The smash happened just after 8am outside the Tesco supermarket in Leybourne Way when two cars collided, leading to the road being closed in both directions.

Paramedics took one patient to Tunbridge Wells hospital and another to Maidstone hospital for treatment.

It is not known how serious their injuries were.

Police diverted traffic down New Hythe Lane while the cars were recovered.

The road reopened just before 10.30am.
