A lane of the A229 was blocked this morning after a car flipped onto its roof.

Police were called to the Maidstone-bound carriageway, by the Shell garage on Blue Bell Hill, at around 9.30am.

It is not yet known if any other vehicles were involved in the crash, or if the road will need to be closed for recovery work.

Paramedics were called to reports of two casualties, but their injuries are thought to be minor.

Traffic was moving slowly past the scene of the accident.
