Kent commuters are warned to expect delays after a person was spotted on the tracks in south-east London.
Services between London Victoria and Bromley South are currently disrupted due to the incident, which happened near Beckenham Hill shortly after 5pm.
Initial reports said a woman had been hit by a train, but a British Transport Police officers has confirmed this isn't the case.
Trains between London and Maidstone, West Malling, Ashford, the Medway Towns and Faversham are subject to cancellations, diversion and delays.
The line has re-opened but delays will continue into the evening.
Commuters are also facing disruption between Tunbridge Wells and Hastings due to a signalling problem.
The fault, between Robertsbridge and Battle, means buses are replacing trains.
Passengers can use tickets on Southern railway services.
Engineers are working to resolve the problem.
