Emergency services were called to the Maidstone East line following concerns for a person's welfare.
It meant no services between Borough Green and Ashford International were able to run.

Officers attended the scene and a person was taken to a place of safety.
At 7.10am the train operator added: “All response staff are now off the railway and the current is being switched back on. Small delays are possible while we wait for the current to be restored.”
Elsewhere in Maidstone, two roads had been closed off.
According to traffic reporting service Inrix, the A249 Mote Road out of town was shut due to an incident from A229 Lower Strone Street to Padsole Lane.
