Train services between between Maidstone West and Strood were suspended this morning after an early morning train struck a fallen tree on the line near Snodland.
The driver was able to clear the tree from the wheels of the coach and carried on cautiously to New Hythe where the train was examined.
Following services were cancelled, while maintenance crews attended with chainsaws.
The Hi-Speed service due to leave Maidstone West for St Pancras at 6.53am ran from Strood only.
However, Southeastern say they are confident the track will be clear and the 7.25 service will run normally from Maidstone West.
Trees are also causing delays on the roads this morning.
The A21 in Lamberhurst has been partially blocked at Scotney Castle Roundabout and in Bonnington on Knox Hill traffic is coping well despite a fallen tree at Giggers Green Road.
