Conifer trees in flames at Boughton Monchelsea

Fire crews were called to a blazing row of conifer trees this afternoon.

The fire occurred in Heath Road, Boughton Monchelsea.

Crews were called at 3.20pm to find a length of 20 metres of trees alight with the flames spreading to an outbuilding.

Two fire engines attended and used a hose reel jet and a main jet to tackle the blaze.

It was out before 4pm.

The cause of the fire is not yet known. There were no reported injuries.
