Trains running through Maidstone East Station are delayed because of a trespasser on the track.

A woman was seen heading onto the track and walking towards the tunnel at about 12.30pm.

Electricity on that stretch of the line was subsequently turned off and passengers are warned to expect delays or cancellations until 1.45pm.

The woman is now clear of the tracks and has been taken to hospital, although a Southeastern spokeswoman said she suffered no injuries.
