Hundreds of people will remember a much loved father at a tribute club night.

More than 200 friends and relatives are expected to attend a fundraiser in memory of Darren Burley, of Willington Green, Maidstone who died at the Heart of Kent Hospice, in Aylesford, after a battle with cancer.

Mr Burley, 28, was a regular face in the town’s nightclubs and his friends felt a tribute evening at The Loft, Gabriels Hill, was a perfect way to celebrate his life.

Tomorrow night's event will help raise funds for Mr Burley’s funeral on Friday, September 2.

The funeral is at 11am, in St Martin’s Church, Northumberland Road, Shepway.

He leaves a young daughter, partner Shelley Finnis, mum Sharon and sister Louise.
