KENT police have named the teenager who died in a road crash involving two cars on the A26 near Maidstone on Sunday.
He was 16-year-old James Joseph Bollom who lived with his family in the Maidstone area.
James was a front seat passenger in a Vauxhall Corsa which was in collision with another car at Wateringbury shortly before 1pm on Sunday. Police say James died at the scene.
In a statement issued through Maidstone and Malling Police, his family said: "James was a happy and caring teenager who had many friends and not an enemy in the world.
"He will be greatly missed by his family and his friends alike. We would ask that we are left alone to come to terms with our loss."
The funeral will take place on Friday, December 9, at 9.40am, at the Medway Crematorium at Blue Bell Hill near Chatham.
Both drivers involved in the crash were taken to Maidstone Hospital by air ambulance but it is thought they suffered only superficial injuries.
Police say the two cars had been travelling in opposite directions when the collision happened.
