Prank video of traffic warden and police McDonald's row in Maidstone goes viral

A viral video showing a traffic warden and police officer arguing outside McDonald's was a prank.

The short clip shows the two uniformed men rowing in Maidstone over a clamp on the police van's front wheel.

The vehicle is parked up on a bend near Hart Street and is shown to be blocking the road for other drivers as some shout from their cars.

The pair seem to be arguing over McDonald's when the fake warden says: "Thank you. Thank you. See, no one has got respect for you. No one has got respect for you.

"No you are a jobsworth. Stopping cars I do not care. I am not taking it off. What you going to do?

"Are you bribing me? Did you hear him say he is going to bribe me?"

The moment was captured by Facebook user Kev Finch on Tuesday and has been shared more than 700 times on the social networking site.

However, it has since been confirmed the video was a prank.

A spokesman for Maidstone Borough Council said: "This is not one of our enforcement officers as they wear reflective tabards and baseball caps."

A spokesman for Kent Police said: "We can confirm that the people shown in the video are neither a police officer or parking warden. The footage is fictitious and a hoax."
