Inspectors have praised the Tunbridge Wells Hospital for the quality of care patients receive.
The Quality Care Commission carried out a three-day check at the Pembury site on wards including maternity, A&E, medical assessment and paediatric.
Based on talking to 40 patients, 15 visitors and 56 members of staff the inspectors concluded that patients were being treated respectfully without having any of their human rights compromised.
They also found that the Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust hospital was kept in a clean and hygienic state and there was always a sufficient amount of qualified staff on duty.
Support workers were also praised as well as the hospital’s system for handling complaints efficiently.
John Kennedy, interim director of nursing, said: “This report is the latest in a line of excellent feedback the trust has received for the care and services we provide.
“As a trust we always strive to provide the best service possible to our patients and this report demonstrates that we are doing well to achieve our objective.”
