Police chased down a suspicious van yesterday connected to car crime in Maidstone.
Local officers spotted a Ford Transit van just after 1.30am on Thursday.
Despite attempts to pull the van over in Royal Engineers Road, the driver failed to stop.
It eventually came to a halt in Forstal Road and the passenger, a 56-year-old man from Maidstone, was arrested on suspicion of theft and going equipped to steal.
A police dog searched the area and discovered a balaclava and gloves nearby.
Around four hours later, a 25-year-old man Chatham was arrested at his home address on suspicion of the same offences.
Both have been released pending further investigation.
