Two people were arrested after police found four kilos of cannabis during a raid in Hawkhurst.

Officers executed the warrant at an address in Hawkhurst High Street on Thursday, May 16, and seized the drugs.

A 34-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman were both arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis. They were released on bail until Tuesday, July 23.

Insp Sonia Lassnig said: "Seizures of drugs often come about as a result of intelligence from the community. Members of the public frequently provide us with important information, which allows us to carry out additional investigation and then take action. As a result we have once more taken drugs off the streets and prevented dealers profiting from crime."
